Die Swans veröffentlichen ihr erstes Album seit 13 Jahren: Die Platte mit dem Titel „My Father Will Guide Me Up A Rope To The Sky“ erscheint am 21. September. Bereits im Januar verkündeten Michael Gira und Jarboe auf ihrer Myspace-Seite: „Swans are not dead!“. Als Gastmusiker sind Devendra Banhart und Grasshopper von Mercury Rev dabei. Gira stellte klar: “This is not a Reunion. It’s not some dumb-ass nostalgia act. It is not repeating the past.
