Grammys 2016: 11 Nominierungen für Kendrick Lamar


Die 58. Grammy-Awards werden am 15. Februar 2016 in Los Angeles verliehen. Lamar und Taylor Swift sind fortan die Spitzenkandidaten.

Vorweg die große Überraschung: Drake ist in keiner der „großen“ Kategorien für einen Grammy 2016 nominiert. Es wurden weder der virale Memes-Hit „Hotline Bling“, noch das Album IF YOU’RE READING THIS IT’S TOO LATE berücksichtigt. Trotzdem ist er in drei Kategorien nominiert.

Die Grammy-Nominierungen dominiert in diesem Jahr aber trotzdem ein Rapper: Kendrick Lamar, der mit TO PIMP A BUTTERFLY eines der angesagtesten Alben des Jahres veröffentlicht hat, wurde in insgesamt elf Kategorien nominiert, darunter auch „Song des Jahres“ und „Album des Jahres“. Mit jeweils sieben Nominierungen folgen Sängerin Taylor Swift und R’n’B-Musiker The Weeknd.

Die 58. Grammy-Verleihung wird wohl zu einem Wettstreit zwischen Kendrick Lamar und Taylor Swift werden. In den wichtigsten Kategorien stehen sie sich nämlich als Kontrahenten gegenüber, für das beste Duett sind sie mit „Bad Blood“ sogar gemeinsam nominiert.
